GRINCH VS SANTA
Are you capable of building the tallest tree in the room… and keeping it standing until the end?
how it works
Every December companies put up a tree. It's usually the most visible thing in the office and, at the same time, the only one nobody checks: it's decorated on the outside, a star is placed on top and it's assumed it will hold. Teams work exactly the same way. At the end of the year we show results, celebrations and group photos, but we rarely look at what's underneath holding it all up.
In Grinch vs Santa, teams build Christmas trees with recycled materials. They compete to raise the tallest, the most striking and the most original, in an unstable environment where resources change, rules adjust and conditions constantly evolve. Each decision adds height, but also adds load: each ornament weighs, each shortcut shows and each extra meter brings the limit closer. And while some reinforce the base, others keep decorating and loading the structure. Does that remind you of anything?
And then comes the moment of truth. The trees are subjected to everything that threatens to knock them down in December, and those that don't hold up fall in front of everyone. It's not a metaphor: they are destroyed. Here it becomes clear that height and ornaments don't sustain anything, and the final question appears: of everything we've built this year, what would withstand a test of truth?
